Science and research at ŠKODA AUTO University

ŠKODA AUTO University gained accreditation for the follow-on master's degree programme in 2005, where the University, in addition to other competences, proved that it has the potential for research and science. A system of continuous developement has been implemented to enhance organisation and management processes and to fully develop our potential.

Since 2006 the school has been awarded grants, mainly within the field of economics and law, from the Czech Science foundation.

In 2007 the University established its own internal grant foundation (IGA) with a significant budget in comparison to the size of the University, in terms of sudent numbers.
Since 2015 the University receives funds for Students Grants from Ministry of Education.

Results of all these projects are regularly presented as part of the Research Open Day where the main focus is to share the results of the research. These results are also published in a number of domestic and foreign journals. The publications are monitored and entered into the database of the Council for Research, Development and Innovation database. Our academics have also published a number of university course books, which are being used throughout the country.

In 2012, ŠKODA AUTO University became a research organisation registered at the Research, Development and Innovation Council which is run by the Czech government.

One of ŠKODA AUTO University’s further aims is to attain accreditation for doctoral degrees and to also to widen the scope of student research by providing additional funding for student research grants.
