The Siemens s.r.o. plant Elektromotory Mohelnice is the largest producer of low-voltage induction motors in Europe. It employs nearly 2100 people. The plant produces up to 4 thousand electric motors every day, most of them designed for use in industrial equipment such as fans, pumps, compressors, machine tools and hydraulic components. Siemens Mohelnice has been a producer of electric motors since 1924, with electrical engineering production since 1904. The plant in Mohelnice holds the titles Safe Business and Company Promoting Employee Health as well as an award for employing the disabled.
